| U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Custer Peralta and Petty Officer 3rd Class Gabriele Hathaway unscrew wing panels on an F/A-18C Hornet aircraft aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) in the Pacific Ocean on Aug. 25, 2008. The George Washington is conducting training in the eastern Pacific Ocean before continuing to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan, where the ship will replace the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
