Hundreds of service
members, from all over Southern California, are recognized during a
preseason National Football League game between the San Diego Chargers
and the Dallas Cowboys in San Diego, Aug. 21. The recognition included
the opening by a Marine Corps color guard, the national anthem sung by a
Marine, an unfurling of a field size American flag by Marines and
sailors, the 3rd Marine Air Wing band performing and a special
recognition to wounded warriors at half time. The Cowboys defeated the
Chargers, 16-14. |
